Evaluation for Measurements of Blood Ammonia Nitrogen

Abstract

|
The cation exchange resin method and Conway micro-diffusion method were used for determination of blood ammonia nitrogen on 14 hospital patients without hepatic disease, showing 68.2±30 ,μg/dl and 76.8±34.1 , μg/ dl respectively. The former method was found to be easily performed and most practical method for routine analysis.
And ammonia nitrogen in whole blood and plasma was measured, revealing 59.7± ll μg /dl and 52.1±10. 4 μg/dl respectively.
